 High School Bio:

            James Clayton Shaw, a right halfback from Holtville High was a good all-round athlete. His coach was Herb Chapman, Jr. James sports include basketball, baseball, track, and football. He was a three year varsity football man whose specialty is running; punt returns; and pass receiving. His grid statistics show 19 touchdowns in six games, James was All-State halfback; Captain of his football squad his senior year; State Class A 220 Champion in 1953; All-Tournament and All-League CABL 1953-54; and Honorable Mention All-League CABL 1954-55.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Collinsville completed the 1931 season with a record of 1-4-5. The five ties will forever be a state record since all games are now decided by overtime.
