 High School Bio:

            Gene Beard, end from Tuscaloosa High School was a football, basketball, and baseball athlete. His athletic honors include All-State football; All-State basketball, and All-Star baseball. Genes specialty was kickoff, and extra points, having caught four passes for fifty yards and one touchdown.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
