 High School Bio:

            Danny Wilbanks, fullback from Tallassee High School was a 200 pound all-round athlete, He played varsity football three years, and took honors in three sports; Advertiser All-State, All-District in football; three years varsity basketball, two years varsity baseball, and was elected captain of the basketball and football squads in 1954-55. Head Coach CharIie Hataway listed the following statistics for this fullback: scored nine touchdowns; carried ball 152 times and gained 961 yards , Dannys specialty was offensive fullback} defensive linebacker.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Foley outscored their opponents 433-6 in 1961. The Lions were named state champions by the Alabama Sports Writers Association that season.
