 High School Bio:

            Carl Bolton, an All-Southern, All-State quarterback from Athens High was coached by Ferman Elmore. He ran for 16 touchdowns and completed 15 passes; played varsity football three years and was captain of his squad for one year. Carls specialty was passing, running, and punting. He played basketball and football.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
