Bobby Jackson, a 170 pound punting quarterback represented Murphy High School in the All-Star annual game. Bobby, a two-year varsity man, under the direction of Coach Joe Sharpe, attempted 40 passes, completed 33, and gained 750 yards. His athletic honors include All-City; All-State; All-Southern, and All-American in football. He was also a good basketball and baseball player.
