            Kern was named All-city 1955, All-State 1955, All-American 1955, honorable mention. Other sports - baseball and basketball. Johnny played four years varsity football. Specialty - extra points and kick-offs. Grid statistics - 15 out of 17 extra points - 63 pass attempts, 28 completed.




Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

In 1925 Langdale tied a record by defeating Milltown 125-0. Hamilton had set the record by thrashing Fayette 125-0 in 1915.
