 High School Bio:

            Hammett played varsity football three years, captained his squad in 1956 and was an All-County Guard. Other sports: track, baseball, basketball. He was an outstanding downfield blocker, exceptionally fast for a guard. Specialties: kicking off, punting, converting and linebacking.
