            Grimes played varsity football two years, was most valuable senior lineman for Coffee High, co-captain of his football team, AII-Tri-Cities, All-Tennessee Conference. His specialty: downfield blocking. Grid statistics: played both offense and defense; played entire game every game his senior year.
