 High School Bio:

            Brooker was named honorable mention All-Conference as freshman, All-Conference three years, All-County, All-State. He played varsity football four years, was co-captain last Fall, lettered four years in baseball and three in basketball. He performed at end, tackle and back, passed, punted, kicked off and converted. He ran 79 times for 525 yards and a 6.9-yard average, and completed 15 of 21 passes for 275 yards and an 18.2 yard average.

The first football game played by a high school team in Alabama was in 1892 when Central Birmingham (Phillips) lost to Alabama 56-0 on November 11.
