High School Bio:
Trammell was named All-State football and basketball, honorable mention All-State football and basketball, and also was named to the North All-Star basketball squad. He played varsity football four years, captained the team, ran for 18 touchdowns, passed for six more, and starred in baseball as well as basketball. Trammell tossed five touchdowns in a 59-6 victory against Fort Payne in 1956. He also rushed for 193 yards against Etowah his senior season. He threw a school record 40 touchdown passes in his high school career.
