 High School Bio:

            Griffin was named All-South Alabama Conference two years, All-State, Best Football Player on team, Best Basketball Player on team, All-District Tourney in basketball, District discus runnerup in track. He played varsity football three years, specializing in pass catching and conversions. He caught 12 touchdown passes, scored 110 points, rushed for a 12.6-yard average, and punted for a 34.6-yard average.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
