 High School Bio:

            Barbaree was named second team All-State 1956, All-State 1957, All-Central Alabama Conference, Best Blocker Award two years, All-District and All-CAC in basketball, member CAC champion ,mile relay team, member State mile relay team. He played varsity football five years, specialized in kickoffs and conversions, and starred in all four major sports, He caught four passes for 63 yards and two touchdowns, intercepted two for 24 yards return, and kicked off 50 times for a 38-yard average.

Etowah defeated Oxford 69-63 in 1991 to set a state record for most points scored by both teams in a playoff game.
