 High School Bio:

            Athletic honors: All-State two years, All-Southern, All-America, All-District and captain in basketball, and also was selected on South All-Star basketball squad. He played varsity football three years, served as captain, and shined in baseball as well as basketball. He was a triple threat, having rushed 987 yards for 12 touchdowns, thrown eight touchdown passes, and punted for a 37.7 yard average as a senior.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

In 1970 Monroe Academy won the first championship in the A.I.S.A. by defeating Lowndes Academy 6-0.
