 High School Bio:

            Garrard was named All-West Alabama Conference, All-State, All-American. Also lettered twice each in basketball and track. Netted 879 yards rushing for 7.9 average; also handling quick-kicking and punt returns.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
