 High School Bio:

            Hyche was Third team All-State, AII-Conference; Also played baseball and basketball, ran track; Averaged 8.5 yards per carry, gaining 1,278 yards in 150 carries. In addition, returned 20 punts for average of 20 yards each.





Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Luverne 'Toad' Wise was the first female football player in Alabama and may have been the first in the country. She was a kicker for the Escambia County Blue Devils in 1939-40.
