Dan Hogan
Dan Hogan graduated from Winston County High School in 1972. He later received his degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
Coach Hogan was successful in bringing the Lynn Bears football program back from ruins when he earned his first head coaching job in 1982.
He accepted the head coaching job at Winston County High School, in the town of Double Springs, in 1996 where he would spend four winning seasons. His teams were Area Champions in 1996 and 1997 and earned a playoff spot each year.
Hogan retired from coaching after the 1999 season when he was elected Winston County Superintendent of Education. He retired from the State education system after four years as an elected official.
Coach Dan Hogan returned to high school athletics in 2005 and spent two seasons as the coach of the Meek Tigers where the teams finished with a combined 6-14 record.
Hogan returned to the Winston County Jackets, for four years in 2007. He led the Jackets to two region championships and finished second in the region his other two seasons. His overall record at Winston County was 55-42-0 in nine years. Hogans teams qualified for the state playoffs seven times in eight seasons.
Hogans overall football record is 117-94 in 19 years as a head coach.
