Keith Luker
Keith Luker played football and baseball while attending Sweet Water High School. After graduation Luker played shortstop at Livingston University where he was named All-GSC his senior season.
Luker spent 32 years as a coach with assistant coaching jobs at Georgiana, Marengo Academy, Fultondale and Erwin along the way.
His first head coaching position came at Fultondale High School in 1989. Coach Luker led Fultondale to a 9-2 record in the 1993 season which was his last at the school.
In 1994, he took over the head coaching job at Pleasant Grove, replacing Shorty White, who retired from public school teaching. In ten seasons his teams made the playoffs eight times, the last making it to the semi-finals before losing.
In 2004, Gardendale hired Luker as its new head football coach and athletic director. His four teams finished 18-25 and won a region title in 2006 with a 7-6 record.
Oak Grove came calling in 2008 and Luker answered the call. He spent four seasons at the school with a record of 22-18. Overall his record is 135-113 in 23 years as a head football coach. Fifteen of his teams made the playoffs over his coaching tenure.
Coach Keith Luker is a member of a coaching family that includes his brother, Stacy, at Sweet Water and uncle Waldon Tucker, the states all-time winningest coach with 309 wins.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History
Demopolis scored a record 761 points during the 2004 season. The Tigers finished the season 15-0.
