I'm having so many mixed emotions. I've been following RCHS since the early 90's when I moved to Alabama from Germany. My older brother played. I played. My younger brother played. Several nephews behind me and my siblings played. I've witnessed three RCHS state finals runs and got to play and win a state title in one of those too. I'm currently reflecting on all the great years I've seen a lot of great teams come through Wedowee. This is it, this is my son's final year. I've had family come through RCHS since the 60's on a handful of year basis (7 & 8 generations of my family passed through RCHS) and now this looks to be the end of it for a good while. My oldest son enters his last season as a Tiger. I'm going to make a handful of trips back to Alabama from Wisconsin to take it all in one last season. After that, I don't know what awaits after this season but I'll be following RCHS much less and from afar. :(

Here's a interesting fact: My friend TJ Winston & I were on Coach Prestridge's first RCHS team & first & only state championship team. Coach P is currently coaching both of our sons (mine is a 12 grader now, the talented Momo Winston is a junior), so I wouldn't be surprised if he retires in the next 2-3 years and ends it on the kind of note.
