Is the ? on the Dora/Shades Cahaba for missing the location ? If it's the score, that's correct, as I've got that as well.

| No on the score. That was the craziest write up I have ever read. It started out as if Dora had upset SC but then somewhat contradicted itself in the end. |

That sounds familiar. I have read stories about a game that would be an entire column long that went into great detail about all the events in the game but they never tell the final score. It leaves you scratching your head as to what they were thinking back in the day.

Yeah, especially in the early annuals they'll give details about how the game played out, but only mention the final score for example by saying they won by a touchdown. That type report still doesn't say what the actual score was, lol.
Also a problem is the fact that those older annuals are written like poems, including the sports writeups. They sometimes can be quite hard to read.

I came across a Carbon Hill score in the 1977 Birmingham news. In a game played on monday night,Nov 7, Hamilton 27 Carbon Hill 14. I will post some more scores from that date soon. Friday the 4th was very rainey.
Also, Russellville played Walker County in 1949. don't have the score.
