 2016 Preview 


       Last year Shades Valley finished fifth in Class 6A region 6 with a 2-4 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs.

       Since 2010, Shades Valley has gone a combined 29-36. Their 45.0% winning percentage ranks 42nd in Class 6A over the past six seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Shades Valley has managed to compile a record of 138-140. Their 50.0% winning percentage ranks 28th in Class 6A and 188th in the AHSAA.

       The Mounties are led by head coach David Partridge who is entering his first season at the helm. His team finished with a 2-8 record in his first season at Shades Valley. The Mounties have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Partridge.

       Coach Partridge's overall record as a head football coach in one seasons stands at 2-8 (20.0%).

      

      The Shades Valley Mounties will play in Class 6A region 5 during the 2016 season. Following realignment, the Mounties remain in 6A but move from region 6 over to region 5.

      

       The Mounties open the 2016 season on the road against non-region opponent Center Point on Friday, August 26 at Bowman Field. Last year the Center Point Eagles finished with an overall record of 1-9 and in sixth place in Class 6A region 6. The closed out the regular season with a loss to McAdory by a score of 35-10.

       Shades Valley and Center Point have met a total of 6 times on the football field. The Mounties have a 4-2-0 record against the Eagles. They last met in 2022 with Center Point winning by a score of 36-20.
