Pike Liberal Arts completed the 2017 season with a 7-5 record. With their 3-2 region record and a fourth place finish in Class AAA region two, the Patriots earned a spot in the playoffs in 2017. The Patriots open the 2018 season on the road against non-region opponent Crenshaw Christian on Friday, August 24 at Cougar Stadium. Last year the Crenshaw Christian Cougars finished with an overall record of 8-4 and in second place in Class A region one. The Cougars lost in the semi-finals round of the Class A playoffs to Patrician Academy by a score of 27-20. Pike Liberal Arts and Crenshaw Christian have met a total of 26 times on the football field. The Patriots have a 15-10-1 record against the Cougars.
