       Pike Liberal Arts completed the 2021 season with a 12-1 record. Last year Pike Liberal Arts captured the region one title and a number one seed in the Class AAA playoffs. They finished region play with a 4-0 record. It was the first region championship for the Patriots since the 2008 season. The Pike Liberal Arts Patriots claimed the AISA-AAA State Championship by defeating Tuscaloosa Academy 41-21 in Troy.

       No team at Pike Liberal Arts ever won more games in a season than the twelve victories last year. The last time they won as many was back in 2008. The 520 points scored by the Patriots last year were a team record in a single season.

       The high-scoring Pike Liberal Arts offense ranked 22nd in the AHSAA. They averaged 40.0 points a game.

       The Patriots defense dominated most opponents as they ranked 12th in the AHSAA. The defense gave up just 9.8 points a game.

       Over the past two seasons the Patriots have gone 22-3 and will be looking to continue that winning tradition. Since 2010, Pike Liberal Arts has gone a combined 78-57. Their 57.8% winning percentage ranks 1st in Class Ind over the past twelve seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Pike Liberal Arts has managed to compile a record of 148-125. Their 54.0% winning percentage ranks 1st in Class Ind and 152nd in the AHSAA.




       The Patriots will be under the direction of new head football coach Travis Baxley as they enter the 2022 season.  

       The Pike Liberal Arts Patriots will play as an independent during the 2022 season.

       The Patriots enter the 2022 season riding a 12 game winning streak. They have also won 9 consecutive regular season games. Pike Liberal Arts has won 6 consecutive region games. They have won 6 straight games on their home turf at Dewight Ward Field.

      

       The Patriots open the 2022 season on the road against non-region opponent Mobile Christian on Friday, August 19 at Harrison Field. Last year the Mobile Christian Leopards finished with an overall record of 5-6 and in third place in Class 4A region one. The Leopards lost in the first round of the Class 4A playoffs to Bibb County by a score of 40-36.

       Pike Liberal Arts and Mobile Christian have met a total of 5 times on the football field. The Patriots have a 1-4-0 record against the Leopards. They last met in 2001 with Mobile Christian winning by a score of 40-20.

       Pike Liberal Arts returns AISA All-State Senior defensive back Ian Foster. He was named to the second team last season. The Patriots also return Senior offensive lineman Keith Williams. He was named to the first team.
