Fairview completed the 2022 season with a 7-4 record. With their 5-1 region record and a second place finish in Class 5A region eight, the Aggies earned a spot in the playoffs in 2022. Fairview's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Guntersville by a score of 24-13. The Aggies hope to get back closer to the 12-2 record in 2021. Since 2010, Fairview has gone a combined 88-55. Their 61.5% winning percentage ranks 15th in Class 5A over the past thirteen seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Fairview has managed to compile a record of 144-124. Their 54.0% winning percentage ranks 18th in Class 5A and 146th in the AHSAA. The Aggies are led by head coach George Redding Jr. who is entering his seventeenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 108-67 over the past sixteen seasons at Fairview. Under his direction the Aggies have qualified for the playoffs a total of ten times. They have won one region crown with Coach Redding Jr.. His 108 wins rank 54th among active coaches in the AHSAA. The Aggies have a good shot at one of the last two playoff slots in region eight this season. Eli Frost will be back this season at running back after rushing for 2,484 yards and 39 TDs in 2022. He averaged over ten yards a carry. The Aggies open the 2023 season at home against non-region opponent Columbia on Thursday, August 24 at Dafford Smith Stadium. Last year the Columbia Eagles finished with an overall record of 0-9 and in sixth place in Class 6A region seven. Fairview and Columbia have met a total of 4 times on the football field. The Aggies have a 4-0-0 record against the Eagles. They last met in 2022 with Fairview winning by a score of 51-0. The Aggies return 5A All-State Senior running back Eli Frost.
