Jacksonville Christian completed the 2022 season with a 8-2 record. With their 5-1 region record and a place finish in Class 8 Man region , the Thunder earned a spot in the playoffs in 2022. It marked the first time since the 2014 season that the Thunder qualified for the playoffs. The Thunder hope to continue the success they had last season. The Pirates lost in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs to Russellville by a score of 63-10.
