North River Christian finished the 2022 season with a disappointing 3-8 record. With their 2-3 region record and a fifth place finish in Class AISA-8 Man region one, the Chargers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2022. North River Christian's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Cornerstone Christian by a score of 72-51. It marked the first time since the 2011 season that the Chargers qualified for the playoffs. North River Christian had a very good offense last year, scoring 32.9 points per game, but it couldn't keep up with a defense that gave up 45.4 points per game. Since 2010, the North River Christian football program has struggled with a record of 31-81. Over the past 23 seasons, North River Christian has managed to compile a record of 79-122. Their 39.0% winning percentage ranks 3rd in Class AISA-8 Man and 293rd in the AHSAA. The Chargers are led by head coach Maurice Adams who is entering his tenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 19-54 over the past nine seasons at North River Christian. Under his direction the Chargers have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Adams. The Chargers open the 2023 season on the road against region opponent East Central HomeSchool on Friday, September 1. Last year the East Central HomeSchool Patriots finished with an overall record of 5-5 and in place in Class 8 Man region eight. The Patriots lost in the first round of the Class 8 Man playoffs to Lighthouse Home School by a score of 62-35. North River Christian and East Central HomeSchool have met a total of 5 times on the football field. The Chargers have a 2-3-0 record against the Patriots.
