 2023 Preview 


       Park Crossing finished the 2022 season with a disappointing 0-9 record. Last year Park Crossing finished seventh in Class 6A region two with a 0-6 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs.

       The offense struggled putting points on the score board as Park Crossing averaged scoring just 11.4 points a game.

       The Thunderbirds would prefer to forget the past two seasons as they have finished with a 2-17 record.

       Park Crossing is a relatively new football program having fielded a team only nine seasons. They have managed a record of 55-45 over the past nine years.

       Over the past 9 seasons, Park Crossing has managed to compile a record of 55-45. Their 55.0% winning percentage ranks 32nd in Class 6A and 135th in the AHSAA.




       The Thunderbirds are led by head coach Ty Lockett who is entering his second season at the helm. His team finished with a 0-9 record in his first season at Park Crossing. The Thunderbirds have yet to reach the playoffs under his direction. They have not won a region crown with Coach Lockett.

       Coach overall record as a head football coach in Alabama for one  stands at 0-9 (%).

       Park Crossing has seen their early success in football evaporate over the past five football seasons.

       The Thunderbirds enter the 2023 season in the middle of a 13 game losing streak. They would like nothing better than to end the string of losses early in the season.

       This season, the Thunderbirds will be a long shot for one of the four playoff spots in region two. After not winning a single game last year, the goal at Park Crossing will be to simply win some games.

       The Thunderbirds open the 2023 season on the road against non-region opponent Paul Bryant on Friday, August 25 at Stampede Stadium. Last year the Paul Bryant Stampede finished with an overall record of 1-9 and in seventh place in Class 6A region four.

       This will be the second meeting between Park Crossing and Paul Bryant on the football field. The Thunderbirds have a 1-0-0 record against the Stampede. They last met in with
