University Charter School completed the 2023 season with a 5-6 record. With their 2-3 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 1A region three, the Trail Blazers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2023. University Charter School's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Elba by a score of 70-8. No team at University Charter School ever won more games in a season than the five victories last year. The 256 points scored by the Trail Blazers last year were a team record in a single season. The Trail Blazers qualified for the playoffs for the first time in the school's history in 2023. The Trail Blazers have never won a playoff game in the school's history. They would like to break through and pick up that first post season victory in 2024. University Charter School is a relatively new football program having fielded a team only two seasons. They have managed a record of 7-14 over the past two years. Head Coach: The Trail Blazers are led by head coach Sam Mosley who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 7-14 over the past two seasons at University Charter School. Under his direction the Trail Blazers have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Mosley. Season Outlook: The University Charter School Trail Blazers will play in Class 1A region three during the 2024 season. The Trail Blazers are only a two year old football program at the varsity level but they are already making waves in 1A. In only their second season they finished 5-6 and got into the playoffs. Last year the Hubbertville Lions finished with an overall record of 4-6 and in fifth place in Class 1A region five. The Lions closed out the regular season with a loss to Lynn by a score of 56-33.
