I know this is off-topic, but I'm trying to find out if they're going to stream or do real time stat trackers of the basketball regionals this year, specifically the Northeast Regional. They did this last year. I've not seen anything anywhere saying if it will be done this year. Mike, if you're going there for the Piedmont boys and hear anything beforehand about streaming or the stat trackers of the games please let me know. SV girls play at noon Wednesday, and your game is at 4:30 that same day. I noticed on the other side of the 3A bracket sits Leeds. Y'all can't get away from them, lol.

I ended up finding the answer on the AHSAA home page. Each host school for the regionals has a streaming page. The page for Jacksonville State's regional where SV and Piedmont plays is here http://www.jsugamecocksports.com/sports/2010/2/15/GEN_0215104735.aspx
I've gotten to where I don't care to ask questions like this on al.com forums and the like. It seems like anytime someone asks a question or makes a comment there, some smark alleck know-it-all always has to post a reply like everybody's question or comment is stupid or in need of smack talk. I asked this same question on al.com, and the only reply I got was the ahsaa site's address, when they could have easily posted a link to the page on the ahsaa site where the links were. Earlier in the week someone commented in the basketball forum about Hoover's football team having lost to SV 48-8 in 1998. I made the mistake of not reading what the comment was about, and made a reply saying I was there and loved watching that game. So a few days later I went back to the forum seeking scores of basketball area tournament scores and saw I got a reply about the post I made about Hoover. It seemed some person calling themselves Outlaw or something to that effect decides to dress me down based on me saying I loved the SV defeat of Hoover. This loser starts by congratulating me on beating what he says is the worst Hoover team in history, and then our overall losing record to Hoover, our losing playoff record to Hoover, our record at the Super Six in relation to Hoovers, our two 0-10 seasons in the last 10 years and so on. I thought it was funny that someone's reciting stats about SV to ME, stats I already know better than he does, and that he probably came here to find out to begin with. As for Hoover's state championship stats that wasn't necessary in discussing the SV-Berry/Hoover series. I did start to mention SV's accomplishments over Hoover to show I know stats, too, although mine is by heart, such as the mentioned 48 points is tied for the most points ever given up by Hoover, our two 40 point wins over Hoover is two of the top 3 worst losses ever for Hoover, that we have 5 shutouts of Hoover which is more than any other team and 4 shutouts in 5 years at one point (they only have one over us), and the fact that we won the area title almost every year when we were in their area. Being more technical, we also have more points in the series than Hoover does, and their worst defeat of us is by 26, while we have those two 40 point wins plus a 28 point win. No, I didn't reply back because it would have just continued the type of petty bickering I try to avoid, but I also didn't see the need to be replied to in that manner. Regardless of their numerous titles in the past few years, back when they were Berry and had Bob Finley as a coach, they were a respected team and program. Bob Finley was a good man. They were one of our biggest rivals back then but they were a respected rival. I can't say I respect them the past several years, regardless of titles and such because of the arrogance of many of their fans and their recent coaches. It comes with the territory, and winning titles or just winning in general, as you see similar type arrogance from Prattville, Oxford and Gadsden City fans on those forums as well. This is why I'm glad we have a civil discussion forum here, and people that want to dress someone down based on a simple comment seem to be absent here. I read lots of forums, but choose to participate in very few, mainly because of that type of petty bickering and garbage talk I described. The bad thing is, for forums to get lots of traffic, it seems like the bickering and garbage talk is what draws them in.

Odd, where'd this soapbox come from sitting here beside me. Hope it's Ivory....
