Welcome to the 2022 Super Seven Championship pick'em contest. One change this year as we will sort of have a prize for the winner(s).

The rules are simple. Pick the two teams in each classification you think will reach the title game for that classification. You can pick the team you think will win it all too. Each participant will be awarded one point for each team they pick correctly for a maximum of fourteen points. Just reply to this post here.

Good luck and I encourage others to get involved if you wish or you may choose to just make fun of those of us who make the picks.

This year I will send the winner a copy of the two books I put together. The Dynasties and Memorable Games.

I will make my picks later this week. Too much to do right now to think about it. But I do have some favorites in mind.

Sorry guys. I forgot to post the results after the first round for the AHSFHS Pick'em Contest. Here they are. Not much separation right now but that will change next week I think. We have 18 players this year.

BrianYoung and TheMUBM are tied for first place. They still have every team they picked in the running as they got 14-of-14 correct. Nine others only missed one game. Most of those when Clay-Chalkville lost. The last seven players saw two of their picks lose.

So everyone still has a chance to win this thing. Good luck and thanks for playing.

1A:
Champions - Linden
Runner Up - Lynn
*I think Linden upsets Elba in the semis and Lynn makes a run in the North.

2A:
Champions - Fyffe
Runner Up - Highland Home
*I don't know if Fyffe will even be tested on their path to a blue map. Just call them Sherman. Highland Home could make a run or could get upset in the 1st round. But I'll go with them making a run.

3A:
Champions - Mars Hill
Runner Up - Dadeville
*I think MH has one of the tougher roads for any champion. I think 3A North could be a toss up between MH & Piedmont.

4A:
Champions - Catholic
Runner Up - Oneonta
Same story this year for Catholic, can they avoid an upset after a dominating regular season? I think they learn and coast to a blue map. I think the north is a giant toss-up. Only 3 ranked teams. I feel like Oneonta may be the best 3 seed and they are 9-1, and have all the makings of going on a run.

5A:
Champions - Leeds
Runner Up - UMS-Wright
*Leeds has a pretty tough road after the first round. But I like the way they matchup with anyone in their way. It's a 1 v. 2 battle in the ship with #2 coming away with blue.

6A:
Champions - Theodore
Runner Up - Clay-Chalkville
*Theodore has a relatively easier road than Clay-Chalkville. I don't think they'll really be tested until the semis. Chalkville should have tough matchups from the 2nd round on - so don't be surprised to see someone else in this spot.

7A:
Champions - Thompson
Runner Up - Central-PC
*Can anyone challenge Thompson/Hoover in the North? Hoover beat Thompson in the regular season, but can they beat them when it matters in November? I don't think they do this year either. The South is a toss-up between Central/Auburn.

I also think that would be a fun idea, but it would take a lot more time to score for everybody after each round. Also, everyone would have to either type out their bracket on here, or print them off and submit pictures.

If you guys want to send me some prefilled out brackets, I will keep a spreadsheet on it and update after every round. still_eddie_cheddar@protonmail.com Just let me know you're going to send. I have mine filled out and will gladly send them to anyone just to keep an honesty check.

I created a spreadsheet for the brackets you can download here. The first round matchups are already done. Just download the file fill it out and email it to TheMUBM at the email address above. If he is willing to keep track of everyone's picks I am all in. I will be sending you my picks by tomorrow.

Find the spreadsheet here and download it. It should help save you some time.
