Welcome to the 2022 Super Seven Championship pick'em contest. One change this year as we will sort of have a prize for the winner(s).
The rules are simple. Pick the two teams in each classification you think will reach the title game for that classification. You can pick the team you think will win it all too. Each participant will be awarded one point for each team they pick correctly for a maximum of fourteen points. Just reply to this post here.
Good luck and I encourage others to get involved if you wish or you may choose to just make fun of those of us who make the picks.
This year I will send the winner a copy of the two books I put together. The Dynasties and Memorable Games.
I will make my picks later this week. Too much to do right now to think about it. But I do have some favorites in mind.

1A: Elba vs. Meek
2A: Fyffe vs. Reeltown
3A: Mars Hill vs. Houston Academy

My picks for this years contest. I have typically done well and hopefully the trend continues this year. The champions will be in bold
7A: Thompson vs Auburn
I don't plan on picking against Thompson, Auburn I think upsets Central Phenix City and gets their chance at revenge for the notorious 2020 state title game.
6A: Clay Chalkville vs Saraland
I picked against Clay last year and was mistaken. I think they will run 6A and win their second straight title. Sticking with Saraland since they are in it officially
5A: Leeds vs UMS Wright
UMS finally makes it to the 5A title after a few years of coming close but not close enough. I think Leeds will see Moody later this month but will beat them again.
4A: Deshler vs Catholic Montgomery
Good luck to the winner of the north. The south bracket is loaded. I think Anniston is the only team that could beat Catholic.
3A: Mars Hill vs Saint James
Mars Hill will win a 3A title this year. I think they are very good and could win the 4A bracket. Saint James i am picking them because if their offense gets going, no one in the south can keep up with it.
2A: Fyffe vs Highland Home
Fyffe is going to be there I am very confident in saying that. Highland Home got stunned versus Reeltown, but I don't see lightning striking twice.
1A: Spring Garden vs Elba
The 1A bracket is always the hardest to pick a winner from but I feel like it will be Elba this year. I think a lot of teams could make it out of the north bracket. |

I created a spreadsheet for the brackets you can download here. The first round matchups are already done. Just download the file fill it out and email it to TheMUBM at the email address above. If he is willing to keep track of everyone's picks I am all in. I will be sending you my picks by tomorrow.
