I'm not as sold on Handley being the clear favorite in 4A as I was just one week ago. After seeing how bad we (Lincoln) beat Munford last week, it just really makes me question how good Handley's entire region is. I mean, they were only up 14-10 on Munford at one point in the 3rd quarter. We were up 28-0 on Munford after the first quarter, and we may not even make the playoffs in what was a very weak region in 5A last year.
That had a bit of a trickle-down effect in 2A as well. I would have expected Handley to handle Lanett, cause Lanett doesn't seem to be quite as good this year as they were last year, and yet Handley barely squeaked by, which I think says more about how much I had overrated Handley than it does about how good Lanett is. But I guess we'll see.
You may be right. I think their domination of Guntersville (albeit way back in week 1) was pretty impressive. I was a bit surprised by how close the game with Lanett was but then again Lanett also played 6A Valley within 1 score.
