| Who y?all got? Just read the Al dot com article about the saraland WR having. 34 tds WOW. Who else is in the convo as of now? |

| Haven't read the article, but the running back at Oneonta is having a monster year. Fluff Bothwell, I know he had over 30 tds and something like 2500 yards going into last weeks game. He also plays linebacker, I think. |

My top three in no particular order would be: QB Jack Hayes (Piedmont), RB Jeremiah Cobb (Montgomery Catholic), and WR Ryan Williams (Saraland).
I'd be pretty surprised if it doesn't go to one of those three. I'd probably vote for Hayes, but I think the notoriety of Cobb playing in a big city and being committed to Auburn would make him the more likely candidate. Williams is just a Sophomore, so although he is committed to Alabama, I think the voters would probably not give it to him since he's got two more chances to win it. |

Jack may not be the best college prospect but you will have to look hard to find a better high school player.
If he doesnt win, it has to be because of him not fitting the college prospect profile and being at a small school. |

I?ll take an athlete/player who?s been 4 year beast over a 1 year wonder every single time. The most underrated & slept on athlete 4 years running, Jack Hayes from Piedmont! We will never see another player accomplish what he has done thru their career as a 4 year starter. Zach Pyron came close but he wasn?t a record breaker.

That?s absolutely correct. That award is based more so on who?s the best college prospect in the state, not the best player in the state IMO.
