| Alma Bryant Hurricanes (3-7) |

|
| Outlook: It's been a while since the Hurricanes have had much to cheer about in south Mobile County. With the expanded 7A playoffs could this be the year they get over that hump and qualify for a playoff spot in November? |
| The Hurricanes won three games last year all in non-region play. They will need to improve on that record if they have any hopes of grabbing one of the six playoff spots in region one this year. |
| Jayden James rushed for 1,047 yards and 3 TDs and will return for his Senior season. |

| Outlook: The Trojans have improved in the win column in each of the past three seasons to a total of nine wins in 2025. It was their best season since 2020 but a 40-0 loss to Auburn in the second round of the playoffs left a scar they hope to erase this season. A difficult non-region schedule will help them get ready for a playoff run in November. |
| Christian Segar completed 210 of 306 passes for 2,775 yards and 37 TDs and will return for his Senior season. The Trojans should be in good shape along the offensive line as Kaden Forrest and CJ Maxwell will lead the charges. |

| Outlook: The last time the Lions won a playoff games was way back in 2014 when Todd Watson was the head coach. Since he moved on they have only reached the playoffs twice without winning a game. |
| The fans should be excited down in south Baldwin County as a new coach will bring changes quickly to the football fortunes in Foley. Anything short of a playoff spot will be a huge disappointment for the Lions. Look for the fans to very happy when November rolls around in 2026. |

|
| Outlook: The Bucks remain in Class 6A but are joined by many of the teams from last year's 7A classification. Four consecutive playoff appearances look good on the resume but Buckhorn last won a playoff game back in 2005 more than twenty years ago when they lost to Homewood in the 5A state championship game. |
| The offense looks to be in good hands with the return of two key players at the skill positions. Parker Turley completed 182 of 286 passes for 2,114 yards and 10 TDs and will return for his Junior season. Djone Rosario rushed for 1,038 yards and 8 TDs and will also be returning for his Senior season. |

| Gadsden City Titans (8-4) |
|
|
| Outlook: The Titans are beginning their twenty-first season since the school opened in a region with a bunch of different schools. After four years playing in 6A they jump up to the highest classification which ironically remains 6A. The good news about the realignment is that the region doesn't seem to have any dominate teams and is wide open to all takers. |
| The Titans open the season with a couple of games against strong 5A opponents in Oxford and Fort Payne before settling into their region schedule. |
| Sam Sollie completed 94 of 175 passes for 1,318 yards and 13 TDs and will return for his Junior season. |

| Outlook: Over the past twenty-five seasons the Tigers have not won a single playoff game and have only managed four winning seasons. The good news is they have no way to go except up. Coach Judah begins his second season after going 1-9 last year. Ten coaching changes over the past twenty-five seasons is not the way to build a football program. |
| The region offers opportunities for wins and possibly a playoff spot for every school in the region. That's the good news. The bad news is that it will be a battle for the Tigers to grab one of those elusive six spots offered in 6A. |

| Hazel Green Trojans (4-6) |
|
|
| Outlook: The Trojans will begin the 2026 football season where they have since the school opened in 1962. They hope to have a winning season and procure one of the six playoff spots offered by the AHSAA. The problem is it will be a daunting task with the move up to the highest classification. |
| Hazel Green has only appeared in the playoffs a total of six times and have actually never walked away with a playoff victory. |

| Huntsville Panthers (7-3) |
|
|
| Outlook: The surprise team in Region Four last year had to be Huntsville. They finished the season with a record of 7-3 which is the most wins for the program since 2012. That's the good news. The bad news is that somehow with the use of a tie-breaker they got shuffled out of the playoffs somehow. |
| Could this be the year of the Panthers in Region Four? |

2024 Coaching Change
|
Jimmy Gay spent the past five seasons as the offensive line coach at Muscle Shoals before accepting the head coaching job at Huntsville in January. He was the head coach at Parrish for two season where his 2003 team won the Class 1A state championship. Gay also served as the head coach at his alma mater Cordova for six seasons between 2013-2018.
His overall record as a head coach stands at 60-36 in eight seasons at the two schools.

| Outlook: It was a disappointing first season at James Clemens for Coach Johnson. A 5-6 record and first round playoff loss did not set well with the coaches, players or fans. They will be more optimistic this fall as the Jets seem poised to make a run toward a region championship. |
| With realignment and more playoff spots available this season hosting a first round game will be huge for Region Four. Maybe they can break that streak of consecutive playoff losses in the first round.
|
| Key returning players at the skilled positions could bring big rewards for the Jets in 2026. Matthew Evers completed 122 of 200 passes for 1,414 yards and 13 TDs and will return for his Senior season. MJ Gideon rushed for 1,221 yards and 15 TDs and will also be back for his Senior season. |

| Outlook: Four consecutive five win seasons at Sparkman may not seem like much at most schools but here it means more. It's the first time they have accomplished that feat since 2006. That was also the last time they won a playoff game by the way. |
| A couple of key skilled players could go a long way toward a successful season for the Senators from Sparkman. Joshua Naylon completed 109 of 183 passes for 1,490 yards and 19 TDs and will return for his Senior season. Braylon Lawson rushed for 1,480 yards and 12 TDs and will also be back for his Senior season.
