 2017 Preview 


       Chambers Academy completed the 2016 season with a 12-1 record. The Rebels cruised through the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record going into the post season. Last year Chambers Academy captured the region one title and a number one seed in the Class A playoffs. They finished region play with a 5-0 record. Last year the Chambers Academy Rebels reached the AISA-A State Championship game only to fall just short of claiming a title. They were defeated by Marengo Academy in the State Championship game 34-33 in Troy.

       No team at Chambers Academy ever won more games in a season than the twelve victories last year. The 626 points scored by the Rebels last year were a team record in a single season.

       Over the past two seasons the Rebels have gone 22-4 and will be looking to continue that winning tradition. Since 2010, Chambers Academy has gone a combined 44-36. Their 55.0% winning percentage ranks 5th in Class A over the past seven seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Chambers Academy has managed to compile a record of 134-143. Their 48.0% winning percentage ranks 8th in Class A and 22nd in the AISA.

       The Rebels are led by head coach Jason Allen who is entering his thirteenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 80-58 over the past twelve seasons at Chambers Academy. Under his direction the Rebels have qualified for the playoffs a total of nine times. They have won four region crowns with Coach Allen.

       Coach Allen's overall record as a head football coach in fifteen season stands at 101-73 (58.0%). His 101 wins rank nd among active coaches in the AISA. Over the course of his career, Coach Allen's teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of twelve times and won four region championships.

       The Chambers Academy Rebels will play in Class A region one during the 2017 season.

       The Rebels enter the 2017 season riding a 14 game regular season winning streak. Chambers Academy has won 7 consecutive region games. They have won 10 straight games on their home turf at Torbert Field.

       The Rebels enter the season with expectations of not only a region title but reaching the state championship game. They are considered one of the favorites not only in their region but to play in the AISA title game in November.

       The Rebels open the 2017 season at home against non-region opponent Coosa Valley Academy on Friday, August 25 at Torbert Field. Last year the Coosa Valley Academy Rebels finished with an overall record of 2-8 and in sixth place in Class AA region one. The Rebels ended last season on a positive note with a win over Sumter Academy by a score of 37-21 after failing to gain a playoff spot.

       Chambers Academy and Coosa Valley Academy have met a total of 33 times on the football field. The Rebels have a 25-8-0 record against the Rebels. They last met in 2016 with Chambers Academy winning by a score of 47-0.
