 2017 Preview

Dadeville completed the 2016 season with a 5-5 record. Last year Dadeville just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 4A region three with a 3-4 region record.

Since 2010, Dadeville has gone a combined 63-22. Their 74.0% winning percentage ranks 4th in Class 4A over the past seven seasons.

Over the past 25 seasons, Dadeville has managed to compile a record of 189-115. Their 62.0% winning percentage ranks 11th in Class 4A and 70th in the AHSAA. Their last losing season was 2007.

The Tigers are led by head coach Richard White who is entering his eighteenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 128-69 over the past seventeen seasons at Dadeville. Under his direction the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs a total of fourteen times. They have won four region crowns with Coach White.

Coach White's overall record as a head football coach in seventeen season stands at 128-69 (65.0%). His 128 wins rank 8th among active coaches in the AHSAA.

The Dadeville Tigers will play in Class 4A region three during the 2017 season.

With a little luck and some improvement, the Tigers could find themselves challenging for one of the playoff spots for region three this season. Dadeville came up short of the playoffs last year but are optimistic of a return to the post season this year.

The Tigers open the 2017 season at home against non-region opponent LaFayette on Friday, August 25 at Tiger Stadium. Last year the LaFayette Bulldogs finished with an overall record of 12-1 and in first place in Class 2A region five. The Bulldogs lost in the quarter-finals round of the Class 2A playoffs to Fyffe by a score of 53-20.

Dadeville and LaFayette have met a total of 52 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 32-18-2 record against the Bulldogs. They last met in 2016 with LaFayette winning by a score of 44-29.
