Week 5

Halfway through the 2011 season and a few tidbits on this past weekend's action.

   *  Daphne and Thomasville all continued their state leading 20 game winning streaks.

   *  Central Hayneville continues to top our list with thirty-six consecutive losses as they had the week off.

   *  Crenshaw Christian has won twenty-four regular season games in a row.

   *   Handley won at home so their streak goes to twenty-nine home wins in a row.

   *   Cold Springs has lost twenty-eight straight region games.

   *   The T.R. Miller Tigers have scored in 310 consecutive games.

   *  Crenshaw Christian holds the state lead with 38 consecutive region wins while Leroy leads the AHSAA schools with 34 straight region victories.



Note: The new schools will not be included in team records because of the obvious reasons.

 * Daleville set a team record for points allowed in a game by losing to Seminole County GA 28-73.
 * Geneva set a team record for points allowed in a game by losing to Elba 14-75.
 * Loachapoka set a team record for points allowed in a game by losing to Reeltown 0-60.
 * South Choctaw Academy set a team record for points allowed in a game by losing to Jackson Academy 6-48.


Margin of Defeat game

 * Loachapoka set a team record for margin of defeat in a game by losing to Reeltown 0-60.


Points Scored by Both Teams in a Game

 * Daleville set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by losing to Seminole County GA 28-73.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Clay County shutout an amazing eleven opponents in 1996. The Panthers outscored their opponents 613-42 finishing the season 15-0.
