Week 7

Seven weeks down through the 2011 season and a few tidbits on this past weekend's action. Playoff time is just around the corner.

   *  Daphne and Thomasville all continued their state leading 22 game winning streaks.

   *  Central Hayneville continues to top our list with thirty-eight consecutive losses as they had the week off.

   *  Crenshaw Christian has won twenty-six regular season games in a row.

   *   Handley won on the road so their streak stays at thirty home wins in a row.

   *   Cold Springs has lost thirty straight region games.

   *   The T.R. Miller Tigers have scored in 312 consecutive games.

   *  Crenshaw Christian holds the state lead with 39 consecutive region wins. Leroy ended their AHSAA streak at 34 straight region victories. Hamilton now has the longest streak at twenty-six games.



Note: The new schools will not be included in team records because of the obvious reasons.

* Decatur Heritage Christian set a team record for points allowed in a game by losing to Westminster Christian 15-52.
Points scored in a game

 * Ider set a team record for points scored in a game by defeating Ohatchee 63-15.
 * Sumter Central set a team record for points scored in a game by defeating Holt 63-6.
 * Vincent set a team record for points scored in a game by defeating Isabella 72-42.


Points allowed in a game

 * Carroll set a team record for points allowed in a game by losing to Eufaula 42-69.
 * Decatur Heritage Christian set a team record for points allowed in a game by losing to Westminster Christian 15-52.


Margin of Victory game

 * Hillcrest Tuscaloosa set a team record for margin of victory by defeating Minor 55-0.
 * Saraland set a team record for margin of victory by defeating Escambia County 24-16.
 * St. Pauls set a team record for margin of victory by defeating Citronelle 57-0.


Margin of Defeat game

 * Butler set a team record for margin of defeat in a game by losing to North Jackson 0-58.
 * Zion Chapel set a team record for margin of defeat in a game by losing to Elba 0-58.


Points Scored by Both Teams in a Game

 * Carroll set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by losing to Eufaula 42-69.
 * Central Hayneville set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by losing to Thorsby 46-56.
 * Sumter Central set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by defeating Holt 63-6.
 * Thorsby set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by defeating Central Hayneville 56-46.
 * Vincent set a team record for points scored by both teams in a game by defeating Isabella 72-42.
