THIS WEEK IN ALABAMA HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL
AHSFHS.org Report
(Oct. 23, 2011)

Week 9

Nine weeks down through the 2011 season and a few tidbits on this past weekend's action. Playoff time is just around the corner.

   *  According to AHSFHS.org records Auburn won their 500th game on Friday night. Scores from some of the early games are missing so their record is not complete at this time. Thanks to our friend Lissoy for much of the early research for the Tigers.

   *  Daphne and Thomasville lost ending their respective winning streaks at 23 games. Winterboro now leads the state with an eleven game winning streak including the final two games of the 2010 season. Hanceville comes in second with a ten game winning streak of their own.

   *  Central Hayneville continues to top our list with forty consecutive losses as they had the week off.

   *  Crenshaw Christian has won twenty-eight regular season games in a row.

   *   Handley won at home so their streak goes to thirty-one home wins in a row.

   *   Cold Springs has lost thirty-two straight region games.

   *   The T.R. Miller Tigers have scored in 314 consecutive games.

   *  Crenshaw Christian holds the state lead with 41 consecutive region wins. Hamilton lost so the new leader among the AHSAA schools is Deshler with a 26 game region winning streak followed closely by Bibb County and Briarwood at 25 games each.
