There are 48 teams averaging over 40 points a game. Cedar Bluff leads the pack by averaging 53.8 points per game followed closely by Walter Wellborn at 52.8 and Edgewood Christian with an average of 52.3. New school Southeastern has the least effective offense and averages only 2.3 points per game.

In this day of high powered offenses Muscle Shoals seems to buck the trend by allowing a meager .08 points per game having given up a single field goal in four games thus far in the 2012 season. Thirty teams are allowing less than 10 points a game. On the other end the Bullock County defense has been porous by giving up points at the staggering rate of 57.0 per game.

Brantley leads in point differential average by defeating all four opponents by an average of 44.3 points.
