There are 33 teams averaging over 40 points a game. Edgewood Academy leads the pack
in AISA by averaging 53.7 points per game followed closely by
Brantley with an average of 53.1 and Marion County at 52.6. Cedar Bluff is the
only other team to average over fifty points a game thus far through the 2012
season. Once again Southeastern has the least effective offense and averages
only 2.2 points per game.
Brantley leads with the most effective defense by allowing a state low
4.7 points per game. Linden, Muscle Shoals and Leeds are close behind with
averages under six point per game. Twenty teams are
allowing less than 10 points a game. On the other end the
Bullock County
defense has been less than stellar by giving up points at the outrageous rate of 52.4 per
game.
Brantley once again leads in point differential average by defeating all six opponents
by an average of 48.4 points. Marion County and Linden are not close by still
have averages over forty points per game.
