Week 10 (11/2/2013) There are 31 teams are averaging over 40 points a game at the end of the regular season. Maplesville once again leads by averaging 55.8 points per game followed by Calera at 50.1 and Piedmont with an average of 47.1. Maplesville would need to win the Class 1A state championship and score another 203 points in the five games to top the record set by Demopolis in 2004 when the Tigers scored a record 761 points in 15 games. The least productive offenses include... John Essex (5.2) and Grissom (5.7). Muscle Shoals saw their points go up dramatically when they allowed 24 points in a lose to Bob Jones. They still maintain theri lead among the AHSAA schools by allowing an average of 5.0 points per game through the regular season. Restoration Academy of the AISA leads all schools by only giving up 4.3 points per game. On the other end, the Carbon Hill defense gave up points at a clip of 52.1 per game. Maplesville again leads in point differential average by defeating nine opponents by an average of 47.1 points per game. Calera maintains second with an average winning margin of 37.8 in their nine wins. |
