The 2016 season is fast approaching the halfway mark! Here are a few tidbits from this week's action.
* The Leeds Green Wave extended their state
leading winning streak to 16 after defeating Dadeville 46-14. Bessemer Academy leads all AISA schools with a streak of 17 consecutive
wins following a 46-3 win over Tuscaloosa Academy. Points allowed in a game * Brilliant set a team record in a 76-20 loss to Holy Spirit breaking the previous record set when they lost to Marion County 72-0 on 1930. * Pickens Academy set a team record in a 62-6 loss to Escambia Academy breaking the previous record set when they lost to Edgewood Academy 61-0 on 11/7/2014. Margin of Victory in a game * Section set a team record by defeating Asbury 60-0 breaking the previous record set when they defeated Spring Garden 68-16 on 10/29/2004. * Sipsey Valley set a team record by defeating Holt 53-0 breaking the previous record set when they defeated Greene County 41-0 on 10/11/2013. Margin of Defeat in a game * Autaugaville set a team in a loss 73-0 to Isabella breaking the previous record set when they lost to Orrville 62-0 on 10/31/1947.
