Cody Keene was born in Arcadia, Florida and graduated from North Fort Meyers High School. He received his degree from Alabama State. Keenes first head coaching job came at Ashford High School in southwest Alabama in 1986. He stayed with the program for seven seasons and produced a 52-34 record. His next stop along the coaching trail came at Demopolis High School in 1994. Keenes teams finished a combined 38-16 during his five seasons with the Tigers. Muscle Shoals came calling in 1999 and Coach Keene moved to northwest Alabama for the next three seasons. He would leave Alabama following the 2001 season for Georgia when Oglethorpe County High School was in search of a new football coach. His two teams at Oglethorpe went only 4-16 in 2002-03. In 2004 he surfaced as the head football coach at Northview High School near Pensacola, Florida. When he arrived at Northview, he was the seventh coach in nine years at the school. The Chiefs enjoyed three winning seasons under his direction, including back-to-back winning seasons from 2005 to 2007. He produced one undefeated regular season and two district championships. His Chiefs also made three trips to the playoffs. He remained in the sunshine state for five seasons before jumping back to Alabama in 2009 for the head coaching position at Hooper Academy in Montgomery. He was the fifth head football coach in six years when he arrived at Hooper Academy. Keenes five teams at Hooper Academy finished 23-27. Coach Keenes football record in Alabama is 117-87. His record in Georgia is 4-16, while his slate in Florida is unknown at this time. |
