Our salute to the teams that finished the regular season with a perfect
record. It is a very difficult accomplishment for any team and should not go
unnoticed. These teams managed to win each and every game even when things
were not going well during some game in the season. Our hats are off to
them. Now on to their next goal and a state championship. Congratulations to these teams that finished a perfect regular season. (last time) * Charles Henderson (2007) - The Trojans completed their fourth known perfect regular season. Others came in 1948, 1980 and 2007. * Dale County (2001) - This was the Warriors third perfect regular season having accomplished the feat previously in 1997 and 2001. * Edgewood Academy (2012) - The Wildcats celebrated their third consecutive perfect regular season and fifth (2002 & 2008) overall. * Hoover (2012) - The Bucs finished the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record for the eighth time. Others came in 1969, 1978, 1981, 2001, 2004, 2010, 2012. * Jackson (2011) - The Aggies made it through the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record for the fifth time in school history. The previous seasons were 1971, 1976, 1979 and 2011. * Lanett (2007) - The Panthers finished 9-0 and completed their sixth perfect season. Others include 1949, 1957, 1963, 1976 and 2007. * Maplesville (2011) - 2013 was the 10th time Maplesville has completed a regular season with a perfect record. They accomplished the feat in 1956, 1986, 1989, 1990, 1996, 2006, 2007, 2010 and 2011. * Madison Academy (2009) - It is the second time in school history the Mustangs have completed a perfect season. The other came in 2009. * Monroe Academy (2010) - The Volunteers finished their seventh perfect season on Friday night. Others were 1970, 1972, 1974, 2001, 2008 and 2010. * Pickens County (2009) - The Tornados accomplished something they had not done in over 60 years. They finished with a 10-0 record for the first time since 1950 and 1951. * Saks (1968) This is only the second perfect season for the Wildcats. The other came in 1968. * Southside Gadsden (1980) - The Panthers were undefeated previously in 1980. The 2013 team joins that team with a 10-0 record. * Spanish Fort (Never) - This is the first 10-0 season for the Toros. * T.R. Miller (2008) - This is the ninth perfect season for the Tigers. Others were 1941, 1969, 1990, 1991, 1994, 1995, 2004 and 2008. |
