     How the Top Ten Fared This Week

     The number one teams faired better this week with only Class 1A Marion County falling in Friday night's action. Pickens County appears set to assume the top position. The Tornados were last ranked number one in week nine of the 2009 season in the Class 2A poll.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
