2017 ASWA Poll 




The Alabama Sports Writers Association have released their rankings for this week.

Week 6 -- Oct. 3, 2017
Sidney Lanier enters the weekly rankings as the #9 team in Class 6A for the first time since the 2000 football season. In 2A, J.U. Blacksher comes in as the #8 ranked team. It is the schools first time to be ranked this high.

Georgiana is ranked as the #2 team in 1A and this is the highest the team has been ranked since the 1994 football season.
