Active Coaches with the Most Wins

The 2017 offseason saw many coaching changes that will affect schools for year to come. Several coaches high on our list of all-time winningest coaches retired from the sideline forever. Billy Hamilton at Clarke Prep leaves with 229 victories. Mike Battles Sr. retires with 216 wins.

Jamie Riggs comes out of his retirement and will try to turn around the football fortunes at Houston Academy. His 305 wins are more than Houston Academy has won (259) since they started playing football in 1971.

Danny Horn returns to his roots in Clay County and brings back 287 victories at Clay County and Benjamin Russell.

That leaves us with the list below as we enter the 2018 season soon. Buddy Anderson leads the all-time list for wins in the state with 329 victories. The closet coach with a shot at toppling him is Jamie Riggs with 305 wins.
