The Alabama Sports Writers Association have released their rankings for the 2021 Season.

A new #1 team in the AISA as Autauga Academy takes over the top spot after defeating Escambia Academy last Friday night.

Hartselle assumes the number two spot in 6A and that is the highest they have been ranked since 2012. Decatur Heritage Christian, the #5 team in 1A are the highest the school has ever been ranked.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

The first night game played between high school teams in the state occurred on September 23, 1927 when Pike Road and Cloverdale met in the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
