2022 Weekly Predictions
Each week we will let you know how the Computer did and how many favorites won according to the AHSFHS Power Ratings. The Power Ratings are based upon past performance during the season and will reflect a team's strength on the football field.
As we move further into the playoffs and the teams are more evenly matched the AHSFHS.org Power Ratings are not always as accurate simply because a single play can determine the outcome of a game when the teams are evenly matched.
Last week more than half the games had a spread of less than seven points which means they could go either way. Most of the games we missed were contests where the loser was favored by less than seven points.
The biggest upset was Pisgah defeating Aliceville after entering the game as a 10 point underdog. Auburn also upset Central Phenix City as an eight point underdog.
Once again we see a lot of games with point spreads under seven points this week. Those games could go either way. As a matter of fact only five games have spreads larger than seven points. The largest being Fyffe favored over Pisgah by 23. Five games have spreads of three points or less.
