  This Week's AHSFHS Power Ratings for Every Team  




          The Thompson Warriors retain the top spot in this week's 7A Power Ratings followed by Central Phenix City and Hoover. In 6A Theodore makes the jump up to #1 after defeating McGill-Toolen. Clay-Chalkville falls to #4 after a closer than expected win over Oxford. Next week Theodore plays #3 Saraland for a region title.

          Demopolis leaps over Pleasant Grove in 5A.

          No surprise in 4A as Catholic Montgomery has a big lead over second place Andalusia. Those two team play a huge game this week.

          Mars Hill, Fyffe and Elba top the three lower classifications. Fyffe has a gigantic lead in 2A.

          The biggest movers since the preseason ratings have Houston Academy +30, Mars Hill +28, Lee-Scott Academy +28 and Meek +27.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

In 1970 Monroe Academy won the first championship in the A.I.S.A. by defeating Lowndes Academy 6-0.
